Public Interactive at the PRDMC
Some of our clients have said we ‘walk on water,’ and Debra May proved
it at the PRDMC in San Diego.

We were just excited to have the opportunity to show off the Public Radio Player application on our iPhones. (And while riding a wave, no less!)
Have you submitted your station stream for inclusion in the Player? It’s not too late.

Economystory.org
The economy is the focus of a collaboration by public media organizations in an
effort funded by a grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). As part of this effort, Public Interactive created the Knowledge Network (http://network.npr.org), a ‘one-stop shop’ for editorial ideas and other resources on the wide-ranging issues facing the American economy and their global implications.
The collaboration partners include Public Interactive, PRX, NPR, PBS,
The NewsHour, Marketplace, Capitol News Connection, Youth Radio, KQED, PRI’s The World, Nightly Business Report, and WNYC. Both stations and the public are welcome to use the tools and resources created by the collaboration; many can be added as widgets on your web site or social networking
page.
For more information on EconomyStory.org, see CPB’s Public Service Media Economic Response Initiative or the official press release on the collaboration. |

Quick Pledge and Pulse Integration
Pulse™ email marketing and Quick Pledge™, great on their own, but even better together. If you use both, you can:
- Offer Prefilled Forms: Pre-filled pledge forms make it easier and faster for the donor to complete the donation process. The fields available for pre-filling include: Name, Title, Email, Address, City, State, Zip, Country,
Home and Work Phone number. The information will come from the person's profile in Pulse.
- Track the Success of Your
Campaigns: Evaluate the success of your Pulse e-solicitations by inserting a special pledge tracking link into your Pulse email message! Track pledges from the email message to the gift, making it easy to evaluate the success of your campaigns. See how many people clicked on the pledge
links in a Pulse email, and view the total number of pledges and total dollars raised as a result of an email campaign. You also have the option of drilling down to individual pledge details from each campaign report.

Report Sent to SoundExchange
On July 13th, Public Interactive® submitted the first quarterly report on
public radio music streaming activities to Sound Exchange! But this is just the beginning.
If your station offers real-time streams of its live broadcast, HD channels, or side-channels, you need to report the music you play on air, as well as how many people listen to each song (Music ATH).
To take advantage of the CPB negotiated agreement, you must register with CPB to activate coverage and sign up with Public Interactive. The PI Sound Exchange Project Manager will contact you directly to ask for data samples.
See the blog or contact Phil Johnson for more information. |
